Everything people ask us before their first visit. If something's still unclear, WhatsApp is the fastest way to reach us.
Do I need to bring detergent?
No. Detergent and softener are dosed automatically on every wash and are included in the price.
How do I pay?
Coins or notes at the payment station, contactless card at the terminal, or with your Speed Queen app balance, which you can top up by MB Way or card. With the app you also earn points and the top-up bonus.
Is the store really open at any hour?
Yes — 24 hours a day, every day of the year including public holidays. There is no staff on site; for anything you need, message us on WhatsApp.
Can I wash duvets, blankets and curtains?
Yes. The 15 and 18 kg machines take duvets from single to king size, blankets and curtains. Check the care label: most synthetic and down duvets can be machine washed and tumble dried.
Can I wash my pet's blankets and bedding?
Yes. The store has a Pet Corner: a dedicated tower with a 9 kg washer (€4.50) and a 15 kg dryer (€1.50/10 min), reserved exclusively for pet items — blankets, beds, collars, soft toys. All other machines are for human laundry only. Brush off loose hair first and use a mesh bag if possible.
Is there parking?
Yes, free parking right outside, in the square in front of the store.
How long does it take?
A wash takes about 30 to 35 minutes and drying 20 to 30 minutes. In roughly an hour you leave with clean, dry laundry.
Which machine size should I choose?
Laundry should fill about three quarters of the drum without forcing. A normal basket fits the 9 kg; double sheets the 11 kg; duvets the 15 or 18 kg. See the guide on the prices page.
Can I leave my laundry and come back later?
You can step out during the cycle — many customers go for a coffee or to the supermarket. We recommend being back before the cycle ends: machines are shared and laundry left inside may be removed by another customer.
The machine didn't start or my laundry is stuck. What do I do?
Message us on WhatsApp at +351 914 158 324 with the machine number and the time. We solve most issues remotely.
Do you offer wash-and-fold service?
No. Speed Queen Gambelas is self-service only: you load, pick the programme and collect when it's done.
How does the top-up bonus work?
When you top up in the Speed Queen app, the bonus is credited to your account: a €25 top-up gives €30 of balance; €50 gives €60. The balance can be used on any machine in the store.
What is the store code in the app?
When registering in the Speed Queen app, enter the location code SQFARO to link your account to the Speed Queen Gambelas store.
